Road mishap under Champahower PS.
Today on 05-03-10 around 1100 hours one Mini Bus bearing No.TR-01-A-1496 while proceeding towards Khowai from Kamalpur side with passengers suddenly got outlined at Sukhiabari on Kamalpur - Khowai road (about 30 Km North - East from PS) due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of the offending vehicle. As a result one passenger namely Tapash Dey (20) S/O Lt. Dulal Chandra Dey of Harerkhola, PS-Kamalpur died at the spot. Other 15 injured passengers were shifted to Kamalpur Hospital and 2 to Khowai Hospital. Champahower PS staff visited the PO, seized the offending vehicle. Driver fled away after the accident. Surrender of one NLFT (BM) extremist under Birganj PS.
On 04-03-10 around 0710 hrs one NLFT(BM) extremist namely Santosh Debbarma(40) S/O Lt. Sadhan Debbarma of Garjankhola, PS Birganj surrendered at 34 BN Assam Rifle Hrangkhal Para camp. During surrender he deposited 20 rounds of AK-47 rifle. He is being interrogated.

Road mishap under West Agartala PS
On 03-03-10 around 1400 hrs one Commander Jeep bearing No-TR-01-3292 while proceeding towards Narsingarh from Agartala side with passengers dashed with an electric post at Chandinamura(about 6km North-West from PS) due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of the vehicle. As a result one passenger Nirmal Das(35) S/O Lt. Jogendra Das of West Bhubanban received grievous injury on his person and was shifted to GB hospital. After sometime he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. West Agartala PS staff visited the PO. Driver fled away with the vehicle after the incident. Efforts are on to seize the offending vehicle and to arrest the driver.

Road mishap under R.K.Pur PS
On 01-03-10 in between 1000 hrs and 1600 hrs at any time one Maruti Car bearing No-Tr-03-0432 while proceeding towards Udaipur from Gathalong met with an accident at Gathalong(about 4km South-East from PS) due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of the vehicle. As a result driver of the vehicle namely Sanjoy Sur(24) S/O Lt. Narayan Sur of Town Fulkumari PS R.K Pur received grievous injuries on his person and was shifted to TSD Hospital, Udaipur. After sometime he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. R.K Pur PS staff visited the PO and seized the vehicle.

Recovery of Country made gun under Sreenagar, Kanchanpur PSs .
On 01-03-10 around 1130 hrs a troop of 11th BN TSR personnel, Ex-Gakulnagar led by Niab Subedar(GD) Pradip Roy conducted special ops in Sudhrai Para area under PS Sreenagar. During Ops around 1445 hrs they recovered 3 country made gun and 7 rounds from a bamboo bush at Sudhrai Para(about 7/8 km South-East from PS) and handed over these  to OC Sreenagar PS.

In a further OPs in village Birmani Para under PS Kanchanpur, Hav(GD) Chandra Mohan Singh and other TSR personnel of 4th BN TSR, Birmani Para post recovered 2 country made guns from an abandoned jhum hut. Another OPs party of 4th BN TSR headed by N-Subedar Dilip Kumar Thakur conducted Ops in village West Bhandarima and detained the following 3 persons (1) Pradip Chakma(40) S/O Muktalal Chakma of Khumpui PS Vangmun (2) Purna Chakma(46) S/O Kiran Chakma of Khumpui PS Vangmun and (3) Anil Chakma(18) S/O Sadik Kumar Chakma of Charkilo PS Failling(Mizoram) along with 6 detonators and a some explosive sticks. They are being interrogated by Kanchanpur PS.

Recovery of ganja, empty bottles of foreign liquor under Bishalgahr PS
On 01-03-10 morning acting on a secret information ASI Dhaneswar Datta and Bishalgarh PS staff  conducted raid in the house of one Nikhil Das(29) S/O Lt. Subodh Chandra Das at East Gakulnagar(about 5km North-East from PS) and recovered 15 kgs dry ganja, 500 nos empty bottles of foreign liquor and approx. 1000 nos cork from his house complex. It revealed from the investigation that accused Nikhil Das and one Uttam Kumar Saha(25) S/O Sri Dhirendra Ch. Saha of Raghunathpur PS Bishalgarh were  involved in manufacturing of spurious foreign liquor and ganja business. Police arrested both the accused persons.

Murder under P.R Bari PS
On 01-03-10 around 1000 hrs a hot altercation took place in between father and son at their house at South Radhanagar over the issue of family affairs. All on a sudden son Gita Nanda Dey(28) S/O Jayanta Dey(80) who is reportedly suffering from mental disease assaulted his father Jayanta Dey(80) S/O Lt. Gobardhan Dey with lathi. As a result he received grievous injuries on his person and shifted to Rajnagar PHC from where he was referred to TSD Hopsital, Udaipur. On the same day around 1400 hrs he expired in TSD Hospital. P. R Bari PS staff visited the PO and arrested accused Gita Nanda Dey.

Murder under Chawmanu PS.
On the basis of information from local people of Dhannya Ram Karbari Para, today on 01-03-10 morning Chawmanu PS staff recovered a dead body of one Nilumani Tripura @ Tarai (25) S/O Garindra Tripura of Debendra Roaja Para, PS-Chawmanu (a day labourer) from Manu river (about 1 Km North from PS) which was lying in the river with head injury. Motive of the crime yet to be ascertained.

Road mishap under East Agartala PS
On 01-03-10 around 0900 hours one truck bearing No.AS-25237 while coming towards Agartala from Teliamura side suddenly outlined at Khayerpur on A.A. road (about 5 Km East from PS) and dashed 4 persons  namely (1) Smt. Menaka Singh (75) W/O Lt. Senapati Singh of Khairpur, PS-East Agartala (2) Smt. Santi Bala Das (65) W/O Gobinda Das of Laxmipur, PS-East Agartala (3) Basana Bala Das (60) W/O Lt. Laxmi Charan Das of Chandpurmat, PS-East Agartala and (4) Ajit Singh (34) S/O Lt. Senapati Singh of Khairpur, PS-East Agartala. As a result Menaka Singh died on the spot and others received grievous injuries on their persons and were shifted to G.B. Hospital. O.C East Agartala PS registered a case, seized the offending vehicle and arrested driver Nazrul Ali (33) S/O lt. Ruhid Ali of Dharmanagar. It is alleged that the accident took place due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of the vehicle.

6 persons arrested under Chawmanu PS
On 28-02-10 Chawmanu PS staff arrested 6 persons namely (1) Khatrin Tripura (19) S/O Sri Dhansingh Tripura (2) Aghe Tripura (18) S/O Sri Man Mohan Tripura (3) Dayaljoy Tripura (18) S/O Sri Chandrasen Tripura (4) Joy Mohan Tripura (25) S/O Man Mohan Tripura (5) Pandajoy Tripura (21) S/O Sri Brihannala Tripura and (6) Dharmajoy Tripura (45) S/O Lt. Seta Kr. Tripura all of Ban Chandra Roaja Para, PS-Chawmanu in c/w murder of sepoy Kranti Chakma of 14 BN A.R. Ex-Biomass camp from Banchandra Roaja Para jungle on 28-02-10.
