When he was performing OPS duty from Gajapara Post under Sidhai PS on 23-02-2002 at about 1330 hrs led by AC Pinaki Samanta along 66 others staff . When conducting search and operation some extremist seen to approaching towards us from opposite direction when challenged the gang members of fired upon police party from AK Series weapons and other sophisticated weapons .During encounter Rfn Binoy Roy sustained bullet injury in his right thigh died on the spot. On 19-01-2018 when he was performing escort duty, on the way while the escort vehicle reached at 40 miles on NH 08 in between Mungiakami and Ambassa., the escort vehicle met an accident. As a result of which he sustained grievous injury. He was shifted to Kulai Hospital under Dhalai District, subsequently, he was referred to GBP Hospital and ILS Hospital Agartala for better treatment.
